Sponsors
Being listed in 614treecare is free, and a business does not have to pay this directory anything to appear, to be checked, or to correct its own entry. Two paid placements sit alongside that free baseline, and both are labeled wherever they appear. This page says what they are, what they do to results, what they leave alone, and how a listed business arranges one. There is no checkout on this site and no account to open.
The two placements
A listing is in one of three placement states. Standard is the default and costs nothing. The other two are paid, and each is labeled in words on every card it appears on.
The label is always words rather than color alone, so it survives a screen reader, a grayscale display, and being copied and pasted. Links from a featured or sponsored card to the business’s own website carry a sponsored qualification alongside the usual nofollow, so no paid placement passes search ranking credit.
What a placement changes
One thing, and it is placement, not a change to organic ranking. On the search page, with sorting left on its default relevance setting, featured listings are grouped ahead of standard and sponsored ones. That grouping is the paid, labeled placement itself; it is not an adjustment made to how results are ranked.
Organic ranking is never touched, there or anywhere else. Switch the search sort to name, last checked, or distance, and placement is ignored outright. Category and location pages list the businesses whose recorded category and location match the page, and reorder by live Google rating as those ratings load. The “Closest to you” card on those pages ranks by straight-line distance from the visitor. The home page grid prefers verified listings and excludes sponsored ones entirely.
What it never changes
A placement does not change editorial content. The description, attributes, provenance, source links, and last-checked date on a paid listing come from the same review that governs every other record, and no listed business approves this site’s copy before it is published.
It does not change verification status, which reports only whether a listing’s details matched a source and is never a judgment of quality, workmanship, or price. It does not touch ratings or reviews: Google ratings are loaded live from Google, and reviews are not solicited, bought, filtered by sentiment, or removed because a business dislikes them. And it is not an endorsement. A label says a business paid for visibility, nothing more. The editorial policy sets out the same commitments in full.
What it is worth
Three things, plainly. A labeled highlight makes an entry visually distinct in a list where every card is otherwise built the same way. Placement appears only in the categories and locations a business actually belongs to, so the visibility it buys reaches people already looking for that work rather than a general audience. And the label itself is informative: it tells a reader exactly which entries were paid for, and every unlabeled entry is there on editorial judgment alone.
No placement guarantees traffic, calls, or work won, and none of them is sold as a lead service.
How to arrange one
Placements are arranged with this directory’s editor, one conversation at a time. There is no self-serve checkout, no plan selector, no sign-in, and no payment page anywhere on this site. Find your business in search first, use the claim link on its listing so an editor knows who you are, then write to the editor using the contact route below and say what you are after. An accepted placement appears the next time the site is rebuilt and republished. No price is published on this site; that is settled with the editor.
